David Carl Anderson, age 74, passed away, at home with family at his side. Preceded in death by father Jacob W. Anderson 2002 and mother Christine A. Anderson 1992. David became ill after a ten month battle with lung cancer. He was a firefighter and paramedic for The City of Grandview Heights for thirty-four years from 3 July 1966 to 12 July 2000. He enjoyed 18 years of retirement and in his spare time liked to play pool and play fetch with his pet Chihuahua Tippy. David was born to help people and never met a stranger. David was preceded in death by his wife Bette Jo in 2015. He is survived by a son, Shawn David Anderson; his sister, Patricia L. Perry (Arthur); brothers, Paul J. (Jane) and James F. (Betty); and many other family members who loved him. He will be missed. Family will receive friends Friday, November 9, 2018 from 5-8 pm. at O. R. WOODYARD CO. CHAPEL, 1346 S.
