Hubert Henry Jansa, 94 of Wichita Falls, TX. went to his heavenly home on January 18, 2019. Jansa was born on February 24, 1924 in Wilbarger County. He was the son of the late Henry Jansa and the late Martha Hemphill Jansa.
He lived in Oklaunion, TX. for all his life up until he moved to Wichita Falls in 2000. He was a retired farmer and performed custom cotton stripping and worked cotton gins in Oklaunion and Elliott. He served in the US Army in WWII as an Amour Crewman. He also retired from Howmet Corp. where he was a heat treat mechanic. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Harrold, TX.
Jansa dearly loved his family with whom he shared many wonderful memories, and passed down great wisdom that will forever live on throughout the generations. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Jansa is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Mildred Jansa, his son, Phillip Jansa, his brother, JB Jansa, three grandchildren, Christopher Anastopoulos, Jeffery Jansa, and Janet Ann Jansa; and one great grandson, Tyler Anastopoulos.
He is survived by his daughter, Glenda Anastopoulos, and son-in-law Billy Anastopoulos of Haughton, LA., his daughter-in-law Beverly Jansa of Wichita Falls, TX. Six grandchildren, Chris and Shelley Pellerin of Zachary, LA., Chad and Shannon Kelley of Haughton, LA., and Richard and Tracy Jansa of Arlington, TX., as well as nine great grandchildren.
The family extents their most sincere appreciation to the entire Salas family and Hospice of Wichita Falls, who cared for and loved Jansa as family.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at 10:00 am in the Chapel of Sullivan Funeral Home in Vernon, TX. Interment will be held at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home
Memorials can be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
