Born December 8, 1951 in Doniphan, MO; son of the late Jack and Ruby Deal Farris.
He was a factory worker and a member of the 1st Freewill Baptist Church in Pocahontas. Jackie was a kind, gentle and loving man; he was an Outdoorsman and he loved to Garden, especially his Rose Garden. He was most proud of his grandchildren.
Survivors include his mother, Ruby (Ray) Richert of Carmi, IL; one son, Jackie E. Farris of Pocahontas; one daughter, Lisa Rohrer of Pocahontas; four grandchildren, Sarah Farris, Hannah Rohrer, Ashlyn and Jacob Hayes; one brother, Tim (Robin) Farris of Doniphan, MO; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be Sunday, January 20, 2019 at 2 P.M. in the Bryan Chapel with Bro. Nelson Henderson officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Interment will follow in the Bailey Cemetery in Alton, MO.
Visitation will be from 1 P.M. till 2 P.M.
