THOMAS C. CANDLER FUNERAL RITES TODAY
Funeral services for Thomas C. Candler, 60, son of the late Governor Allen D. Candler and the former state agent for the Fireman's Fund Insurance Company, who died Monday morning at his home, 343 Peachtree Street, after a brief illness, will be conducted at 3 o'[clock this afternoon at Gainesville, The cortege will leave the chapel of H. M. Patterson & Son at 11 o'clock this morning.
A native of Greenville, Georgia, Mr. Candler was educated at Gainesville College and later at a college in Washington, D. C. During his rather's term in congress, he served as his secretary, afterward serving as cashier of the State Bank at Gainesville for 20 years.
Mr. Candler has been a resident of Atlanta for several years, having retired from active business about a year ago. He is survived by this widow, a son, Thomas Allen Candler, of Atlanta; two sisters, Mrs. W. K. Ashburn of Greenville and Mrs. J. Ashburn of Greenville and Mrs. J. W. Clark of West Palm Beach and three brothers, W. O. Candler of Washington, D. C.; John C. Candler, of Chattanooga and Benjamin C. Candler, of Miami.

Cause of death: Acute lobar pneumonia.
