Lavina Addison Hughes, 90, wife of the late Manford Hughes, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2019 in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born March 7, 1928 in Heidelberg, Kentucky to the late Millard and Eva Addison. She graduated from Lee County High School. She worked in Lexington as a bookkeeper with Greyhound Bus Lines, The Red Mile and Fourth Street Tobacco Warehouses. She was a faithful member of Arlington Christian Church and a member of the Beacon Sunday School Class. Lavina married Manford on March 28, 1959 and had one son, Brian Addison. Lavina loved her family, especially her two grandsons, Addison and Ethan Hughes. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with all of her family and friends. She will always be remembered by those whose lives she touched for her gifts of love and laughter. She loved to travel and took several cruises, bus tours, one rail trip across Canada and many car trips with family and friends. She is survived by her son Brian (Nedda) Hughes; grandsons Addison Hunter and Ethan Marks Hughes; sisters Ada Frances (Paul) Durbin, June Clemons, Mary Jane (Bob) Wilson, and brothers Russell Addison, Winford Addison, Joe (Helen) Addison, Kenneth (Dorothy) Addison; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sister, Polly McDaniel and brother, Clifford Addison. Burial will be in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Kentucky.
