Bertie Pearl Fry 78, of Saint Joseph, Missouri, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2012 at her home. She was born April 25, 1933 in DeKalb, MO, daughter of Elizabeth (Pyles) and John Bozarth. She attended Benton high school. She married William Basil Fry on August 1, 1949 and he survives of the Home. She worked at Noma Lites & H.D. Lee as a Sewing Machine Operator. She enjoyed making quilts, fishing, traveling, visiting and playing slot machines. She was a Baptist. Bertie was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, James "Jay", Frank, Bill, Wally, Forest and Earnest "Butch" Bozarth, three sisters, Dorothy Cole, Mary Radabaugh and Ruth Bozarth. Survivors include her husband William Basil Fry of the home, four daughters, Beatrice (Steve) Stuck, Joyce (Brian) Chance and JoAnn (George) Ruth all of St. Joseph, MO and Cecil (Lonnie) Hawkins of Topeka, KS, seven grandchildren, seven step grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM, on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Rupp Funeral Home, with Rev. Dennis Jones officiating, The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials are requested to the American Heart Association.
