Mr. William T. “Bill” Tolar, age 92, of Mayfield passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Continue Care Hospital of Paducah, KY.

Mr. Tolar moved to Cape Coral, FL where he lived for 25 years and moved back to Mayfield in 2014.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church, a member of American Legion Post #26, a Kentucky Colonel, a retired employee of Mayfield Printing Company and a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps.

Mr. Tolar is survived by one son, Charles “Chuck” Tolar of Mayfield, KY; one daughter, Sherry (Johnny) Myers of Mayfield, KY; one sister, Elouise Hicks of Mayfield, KY; three grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Lois Brandon Tolar; one sister, Rosalyn Gibson; one brother Charles K. Tolar, Jr.; and his parents, Charles K. and Mildred Zona Wright Tolar.

Funeral services for Mr. William T. “Bill” Tolar will be 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2019 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Joey Reed will officiate. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Justin Myers, Craig Fuqua, Kyler Smith, Richard Short, Gerald Brooks and Jerry Mayes.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2019 at the funeral home.
