Alice June Tyson-Halford passed away on January 13, 2019 at the age of 91. Her death was as a result of complications from influenza.

June was born on June 22, 1927 in Flora, Mississippi, the daughter of Zula Bradshaw Rowlin and James Rowlin. In her earlier career she worked as Cosmetologist and later became owner of the Cross Roads Café in Washington, MS. In her latter years she was the assistant manager of the Sandbar Restaurant in Vidalia, Louisiana. She was a long time member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge and was passionate of cooking and gardening.

June is survived by three daughters, Georgia Diane Tyson Leonard, Aydell Tyson, and Renee Tyson Turner. She was recently preceded in death by her third child Elizabeth June Masline.

June was also survived by two grand children, Austin Turner and Beaux Leachman, one great grandchild, Aleshia Leachman, and one great-great granddaughter Aya Leachman, all of Brandon, MS.

June had five sisters and one brother, all of Louisiana. She is survived by two sisters Myrna Williams and Faye Cooper of Mangham, Louisiana.

A double funeral service will be held for both June and Elizabeth on January 18, 2019 at 1:30 PM at the Pavilion at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
