Born March 14, 1925 in Lee County, Texas, Mrs. Holmes was a daughter of the late Edward and Inez Bryant Dussetschleger. She attended school in Texas and was of the Baptist Faith. Mrs. Lois Evelyn "Granny Grace" Holmes, 83, of Chester died Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at her residence. Funeral services were held at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Clay Waldrip officiating. Interment was to follow at Hopewell A.R.P. Cemetery. Mrs. Holmes was the widow of Delton Cyril Holmes. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Julie Holmes Shannon and a brother, Bob Dussetschleger.
