Fred M. Nash
Fred M. Nash, 88, of Sioux City died Sunday, June 7, 1998, at a Sioux City nursing home following a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at Anderson-Perasso Chapel, with the Rev. Daniel Doran, pastor of First Evangelical Free Church officiating. Burial will be in Lincoln Township Cemetery, rural Hinton, Iowa. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
Mr. Nash was born Nov. 6, 1909, in Sioux City, the son of Vivian and Ellen (Wattington) Nash. He attended school in the Sioux City area.
He married Leila Sturgeon in 1939, in Sioux City. She died in 1972. He was self-employed for over 60 years with Nash Brothers Plumbing and Heating, retiring in 1975.
He was a member of the Heating and Ventilation Engineers of America and the Moose Lodge 752.
Survivors include two daughters, Virginia Gosch of Omaha, Neb. and Janice and her husband Dave Perles of Panama City, Fla.; a sister, Ruth Taylor of Spirit Lake, Iowa, and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son and three sisters.
Son of Vivian Eland Nash and Ellen Dorothy Waddington.
