Audrey Comer Holifield, 88, of Laurel, died Monday, Dec. 8, 2003, at his home surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Tucker's Crossing Baptist Church with burial follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Eddie Bryant will officiate. Mr. Holifield was retired from Masonite and Sanderson Farms as a poultry grower. He was a faithful member of Tucker's Crossing Baptist Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially bird hunting, growing a garden and outdoor work. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Abbie Bloodsworth Holifield; a son, Garey C. Holifield; brothers, Clyde, Clattis and Clinton Holifield; and sisters, Cloyce and Melba Holifield and Myrtle Finch. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Annie Looney Holifield; two daughters and sons-in-law, Judith and Billy Burnette of Laurel and Wanda and Dickie Powell of Ellisville; daughter-in-law, Judy Holifield of Laurel; step-son, Roy Trigg of Jackson; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Auline Holifield; two sisters-in-law, Lena Holifield and Faye Holifield, both of Laurel; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Dena and Mike Moore, Greg Holifield, Joelle and Stan Fisher, Russ Burnette, Gina and Mike Hicks, and Chuck Powell. The Men's IV Sunday School class of Tucker's Crossing Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. today at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, which is in charge of arrangements
