Jerry Lee Brewer,65,Cushing, died Friday, April 23, 2004, in Cushing Regional Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Palmer Funeral Home Chapel in Cushing. The Rev. Larry Huff and the Rev. Lamont Henderson will officiate. Internment will follow in Harrell Cemetery on East Ninth Street in Cushing under the direction of Palmer Funeral Home.
Brewer was born Sept. 1, 1938, in Ripley to Monroe and Aletia(Dugger)Brewer. He received his early education in Oklahoma and attended and graduated from Avenal (Calif) High School. He moved from California to Oklahoma in 1986. While he was in California he worked in the California State Unemployment Office.
He married Dixie Smith on Sept. 3 1996, in Miami.
He attended the Full Gospel Assembly Of God Church in Cushing. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the navy. He enjoyed motorcycles, camping and fishing and loved to work on computers.
He was predeceased by his parents; one son, Dean Monroe Brewer, one brother Harold Gene Brewer; and one great grandson Caleb James.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; three daughters, Bobbie Brewer and Sandra Campbell, both of Lancaster, Calif., and Pam Crouse of Littlestown, Pa; one stepson, Roy Thornhill of Selma, Calif; three stepdaughters, Melinda Smith of Cushing, Debbie Posey of Fort Smith Ark., and Renee Jones of McMinnville, Ore., one brother, James Brewer of Brentwood Calif.; 20 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be David Smith, Maqrion Smith, James Brewer, Robert Allen, Herb Howell and Lance Larson.
