Vivian Louise Hoy, 96, of Charleston, South Carolina, formerly of Parkdale, died Saturday, January 12, 2019. Mrs. Hoy was a native of Bigelow, a resident of Charleston, South Carolina for the past 5 ½ years, a former resident of Pine Bluff for 13 years and Parkdale for many years. She was a homemaker and an active member of the Arkansas Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation. She was a member of the Parkdale United Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Noble M. Hoy, Sr., in 2011; a daughter, Rhetta J. Hoy Sivils in 2006; her parents, Lonnie Bowden & Lucy Ellen Gunn Akridge and six brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her children, Mary Elizabeth Gunter of Charleston, South Carolina and Noble M. Hoy, Jr., and wife, Cindy, of Pine Bluff; three grandsons, Zackery Hoy Sivils, Nicholas Adam Hoy and Brandon Rushing; two great-granddaughters, Adriana Marie Sivils and Ava Rae Rushing and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services are 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at the Parkdale Cemetery with Bro. Bob Bridges officiating. Memorials may be made to the Parkdale Cemetery Association, c/o Mrs. Glenda Wells, PO Box 104, Parkdale, AR 71661 or to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital, PO Box 2222, Little Rock, AR 72203-9984.
