Agnes Magalene (Hyde) Montandon was born on 11 September, 1902 in Knox City, Texas, the daughter of William Walter Hyde (1875–1953) and Isabel E "Lizzie" (Hallmark) Hyde (1875–1970). {It is noted that her Death Certificate has her birth place as Haskell County, Texas.}

She was married on January 22, 1927 in Knox City as the 1st wife of George Washington Montandon (1899–1987), the son of Albert Louis Montandon (1852–1929) and his 2nd wife Mary Lou (Head) Montandon (1870–1936).

A retired school teacher living at 5703 Bainbridge Avenue in El Paso, Agnes was 72 years old when she died of inanition due to "Small bowel fistulae" on June 9, 1975 at Southwestern General Hospital in El Paso. Burial was three days later in Restlawn {Memorial Park} Mausoleum.
