Clara Ann (Bachert) Wheeler was the daughter of Solomon and Sarah (Leninger) Bachert. She had nine siblings by the 1850 and 1860 census. She was the wife of Gilman Thomas Wheeler. They were married in Columbia, Elk County, Pennsylvania on August 17, 1862. The 1880 U.S. Census shows they had two sons and three daughters.
