Oma was born Sept. 16, 1910 in Scotland, Arkansas. She was the eldest of four daughters born to Henry R. and Jane Simpson (Driver).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Jane Simpson; her husband Wilburn L. Ashmore; her eldest son, Maurice Simpson Dunsworth and his wife Merilyn Dunsworth; and two of her sisters, Bonny Baker and Louise Jennings.
Oma is survived by a sister, Laverne Summey of Russellville, Arkansas; two sons, John Ashmore and wife Suzy of Norman, Wilburn Ashmore and wife Beth of Lubbock, Texas; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Oma can best be characterized as a loving caregiver. She actively gave of her time and loved to care for every family member preceding her in death as they approached their passing. She will be deeply missed by many.
