Charles H. Breed, 85, of 17 Oak ave SE, died early this morning in the Massillon state hospital, where he had been a patient for a month. His death followed an illness of one year.
Born in Lynn, Mass., Mr. Breed had resided in Massillon for 35 years. He had retired as a metallurgical inspector at the Union Drawn division of Republic Steel Corp. He was a member of the 60-80 club at the Massillon YMCA. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Marguerite Breed; a son, Arthur R. Breed of Euclid; and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Monday at 3 p.m. at the Arnold-Lynch funeral home with the Rev. Daniel Blazier of the First Christian church officiating. Interment will be made in Rose Hill Memorial park.
Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
