Paul W. Fredrickson, 64, of Kearney passed away peacefully on January 8, 2019 at CHI Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Friday, January 11, 2019 at Hope E-Free Church in Kearney. The Rev. David Dickinson will officiate. Interment will follow at Kearney Cemetery. . Services are entrusted to O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral and Cremation Services.
Paul William Fredrickson was born on June 22, 1954 in Fergus Falls, MN to William and Ada (Salstrand) Fredrickson. He attended Kearney State College. While he was still attending college, Paul started his business, Fredrickson Construction. He also established Pioneer Energy Systems, Classic Spa and Tubs, Inc and Home Inspection Services.
Paul served on the Kearney Housing authority and was a charter member of the Home Builders Association. He regularly supported and attended Hope Evangelical Free Church. In 1980, he married Lorene Carlson and they made their permanent home in Kearney, Nebraska. Paul made friends all over the Kearney area and it was impossible to sit in a restaurant with him without someone coming up who knew him. Many who knew Paul, found that he was known for his servant heart, often giving of his time and energy to those who needed it.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lorene Fredrickson of Kearney; his sisters, Karin Wisdom and Carolyn (Keith) Scheidies; as well as, many nieces, nephews, cousins and his dog, Franee.
