Pearl Falslev Hoopes Anderson, age 83, of North Logan, died Sunday, June 24, 1990, at Sunshine Terrace.
She was born August 15, 1906 in Benson, a daughter of Marius Jensen and Mariane Jensen Falslev. She married Warner Hinckley Hoopes on October 20, 1926 in the Logan LDS Temple; he died in 1967. She married Marion E. Anderson, September 3, 1978 in Logan, he died April 20, 1989. She was a member of the LDS Church and had served as first counselor in the Primary also serving as a Primary teacher, Relief Society choirster, mutual teacher, Relief Society visiting teacher and sang in the ward choir. She also sang in the Singing Mothers' and sang in the Salt Lake Tabernacle with the Singing Mothers. She loved sewing and cooking and enjoyed music, played the drums in the Mendon Orchestra.Survivors include three sons, Richard F. Hoopes, Bountiful; John Elden Pierce, Wellsville; Andy Anderson, Kaysville; seven daughters, Mrs. Del (MarLene) Peterson, Ogden; Mrs. James E. (Tess) Hess, Fielding, Utah; Mrs. Vern (Donna) Lindberg, Walnut Creek, Calif.; Mrs. Leonard (Colleen) Fergeson, Pasco, Washington; Mrs. Albert (LaDawn) Waite, Farmington, New Mexico; Mrs. Paul (Betty) Cahoon, Delta, Utah; Mrs. Jerry (Linda) Brown, Logan, Utah; 38 grandchildren; 74 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Oga Falslev and Ephraim Falslev, both of Logan, Utah; one sister, Mrs. R.W. (Carrie) Lewis, Benson, Utah. She was preceded in death by one grandchild, four brothers, and three sisters.
Funeral services will be Thursday, June 29, at 12 noon at the North Logan 2nd Ward Chapel, 1105 East 2100 No. Friends may call at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 East 400 North, Wednesday, 6:30-8:30 p.m., and at the church on Thursday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Logan City Cemetery.
