Evelyn Nathalie Kearsley of Croton-on-Hudson, NY passed away on Friday, September 24, 2016. She was 90 years old.
Evelyn was born on August 9, 1924 to the late Harriet and Crosby Kearsley, Sr., in Croton-on-Hudson, New York. She was the second of six children and attended Asbury First Methodist Church regularly with her family. After graduation, Evelyn worked at Ramble Hills Resort throughout several summer seasons alongside her sister Corene. Before long, she was hired at Readers' Digest in Pleasantville where she proved a meticulous employee who was highly regarded. She worked for 40 years as a manager in two departments, and retired in the early 1990s.
Evelyn will be sadly missed by her sisters, Irene Billips, Doris Brooks, Dora Kearsley, her brother Crosby Kearsley, Jr., nieces, Harriet and Kate Washington, Theresa and Leslie S. Kearsley, Bethela Breveton and Meyla Billips; nephews, David Kearsley and Richard and Eric Washington. She is also survived by many her many cousins and great nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, October 4, 2014 at the Chapel at Bethel Cemetery in Croton-on-Hudson, NY with internment to follow.
