Curtis M. Ropp
SAN PIERRE--Curtis M. Ropp, 65, of San Pierre, died at 6:30 a.m. Friday in LaPorte Hospital. He was born on July 3, 1911, in Rensselaer, and had been an area resident for 19 years after coming from Grand Gorge, N. Y. On April 16, 1949, in Grand Gorge he married Virginia Johnson, who survives with his mother, Mrs. Sophronia Ropp of San Pierre; two sons, Curtis of North Judson and William of San Pierre; a daughter, Peggy Ann Farkas; a grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Betty Harnish and Mrs. Virginia Colbert, both of Whittier, Calif.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the McCormick-O'Donnell Funeral Home, North Judson. Rev. C. Howard Lindley, pastor of the United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in San Pierre Cemetery. Friends may call in the funeral home.
Ropp was a member of American Legion Post No. 92 that will conduct military graveside services.
