INDIAN LAND, S.C. - Albert Miller Huffstetler, 94, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2019, at his residence in Indian Land, SC. He was born January 16, 1924, the last surviving of ten children to the late John and Cora Cox Huffstetler.

Mr. Huffstetler retired as a machinist after more than 40 years of service with Gastonia Textile Sheet Metal. He was a member and former Chief of East Gastonia Volunteer Fire Department and a lifelong member of Faith United Methodist Church where he sang in the choir for 40 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

In addition to his parents and nine siblings, Mr. Huffstetler was preceded in death by his wife Verna Mae Withers Huffstetler.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Jenny Huffstetler of Indian Land, SC; grandchildren, Brian A. Huffstetler of Indian Land; Lisa H. Morris and husband Scotty of Chapel Hill; Todd M. Huffstetler of Gastonia; Kimber Flynn of Pineville; Chris McGinn and husband Matt of Indian Land; 14 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:00pm, Sunday, January 6, 2019, at

McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia. A funeral service will follow at 2:00pm, Founders Chapel at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Gaston Memorial Park.

McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia is serving the family of Mr. Huffstetler.
