Third son of Nicola, Peter was born in the German Palantinate and came to America with his parents in 1751. His early years were probably spent in Goshenhoppen (now Bally) PA with his family and later moved with them to Lancaster, PA. While living in Lancaster, he contributed financially to the relief of Boston during the British blockade in 1774.

Around 1796, he, his wife and four children relocated to Baltimore, Md where he attended St. Peter's Catholic Church. The Baltimore Census of 1797 shows him as a grocer living at 43 N. Howard Street. In 1805, he is shown on the rolls of the Ancient and Honorable Volunteer Mechanical Fire Company of Baltimore.

At some time, he and his family relocated to Frederick County buying a farm in the vicinity of Taneytown, Md. where he lived until his death in 1830. He was buried from the Cathedral of the Assumption in Baltimore.
