Steven Marion Crawley, 66, of Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018. He was born on March 14, 1952 in Indianapolis to James and Maxine "Mickey" (Pea) Crawley.

Steve attended PS 53 and Arlington High School before he began working with Coca Cola in the early 1970s. He served honorably in the USAFR from 1982-1983 before devoting his entire career to law enforcement and public service. Steve worked for the Beverly Shores, IN police department, the Town of Cumberland and spent the majority of his career working as a Deputy for the Marion County Sheriff's department; first as a bailiff in the courts, and then for the transportation division. Following his 30+ years of service he began working for Atwell's Investigative Service, providing security for the Barnes and Thornburg law offices.

Steve was a member of the American Legion Post 273, enjoyed golfing and trips to Florida. He was a former member of Indian Creek Christian Church and was currently attending Emmanuel Church. He will be remembered as a friend to everyone.

Steve is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Linda (Aldridge) Crawley; son, Steven Marion Crawley II; mother, Maxine "Mickey" Crawley; siblings, Sonny "Gene" (Carolyn) Crawley, DeAnna (Roger) Breedlove, Linda Kessler, Janet Harker, Rosa (William) Campbell, James Frank (Susan) Crawley II and Annette Fulkerson; along with several special aunts and uncles and many nieces and nephews.

Steve was preceded in death by his father; and siblings, Dana Lee Crawley and Deborah Jane Crawley.

Services entrusted to Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park, with entombment in Memorial Park Cemetery.
