Myrtle E. Smith, 66, of Springfield died Thursday, Aug. 13, 1998, at St. John's Hospital.
She was born Dec. 31, 1931, in Springfield, the daughter of John and Elizabeth Burns Cornish. She married Charles F. Smith in 1951 in Springfield.
Mrs. Smith attended Rochester Christian Church and was employed by St. John's Hospital for 20 years.
Survivors: husband, Charles F.; three daughters, Donna Oller of Auburn and Debbie Monroe and Denise Walls, both of Rochester; two sons, David C. Smith of Springfield and Derald L. Smith of Divernon; six grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; a sister, Rose Michelson of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.
Services: 10 a.m. Monday, Bisch and Son Funeral Home, the Rev. Ed Green officiating.
Burial: Calvary Cemetery.
