Lt Col Earl E. Berg, US Army (Ret) served in the US Army for nearly 27 years, retiring at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He served two tours in Vietnam and was an Infantry and Special Forces officer in the US and six countries in Asia. In the US he served on the Army staff in the Pentagon. The many decorations he received during his time in the Army included the Legion of Merit (twice), Distinguished Flying Cross for valor, Bronze Star for valor (twice) and meritorious service (five times), and the Purple Heart (twice). After leaving the Army and receiving his law degree Earl practiced Real Estate. Survivors include his wife, four daughters, ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and four siblings.
