Norma Dean Barrow

Central Valley, Utah

Norma Dean Barney Barrow, 93, of Central Valley returned to her loving Heavenly Father December 30, 2018 in Richfield, Utah. She was born July 23, 1925 in Elsinore to Walter and Katie Sorensen Barney. She lived her entire life in Good Ol’ Sevier County. She married George Barrow October 14, 1943 in Central Valley. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. He preceded her in death February 22, 1999.

Norma was a devoted Avon Lady for 59 years. She gained many lifetime friends. These friendships were very dear to her heart. She helped run George Barrow and Son Trucking for many years. They employed many drivers through the years, some who considered her a second mom and would still continue to frequently check in on her.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in every organization, her favorite calling being Stake Dance Director with her husband George.

Her greatest love was for her family. One of her favorite sayings was, "I am deeply blessed". And after a visit with her kids, grandkids and friends she would give a hug and say, "You made my day" with a smile and a few tears. She will be deeply missed and we know that she is having an amazing reunion with those she loves in heaven.

She is survived by her children: Clyde (Carol) Barrow, Central Valley; Arlene Marsing, Farmington; 7 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sherry (Kirk) Jacobson and son-in-law, Chad Marsing; grandchildren: Heather and Broc Jacobson, and Grayson and Daxton Tuttle.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 11 a.m. in the Central Valley Ward Chapel. Friends may call Friday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Magleby Mortuary, 50 S 100 W, Richfield and Saturday at the ward chapel in Central Valley from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Monroe Cemetery.
