SAN PIERRE -- Services for Charles J. Tannehill, 56, of San Pierre, who died at 12:35 a.m. Wednesday in Veterans Hospital, North Chicago, Ill., will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at All Saints Catholic Church, of which he was a member. Rev. Theodore Mens, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in San Pierre Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday at the McCormick-O'Donnell Funeral Home, North Judson, where the rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday.
He was born on April 11, 1923, in San Pierre. On Aug. 17, 1951, in Yuma, Ariz., he married Sara Malveyetia, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Polly of San Pierre; two sons, Charles and Robert, both of San Pierre; a sister, La Vergne Bratton of San Pierre; and three brothers, John Tannehill of Akron, Ohio; Chester Eberhart of San Pierre and Harold Eberhart of Medaryville. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
