FLORENCE - Margaret Raye McKissick, of the Carolinian, 718 S. Dargan St., Florence, died Wednesday morning, October 8, 2003, in a Florence hospital after a brief illness.
Mrs. McKissick was born in Marion County, a daughter of the late William H. and Sally B. Rowell. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and the Companion-TEL Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A.B. "Mack" McKissick, who died in 1986.
Surviving are two sons, Charles R. "Chuck" McKissick (Kathy) of Gainesville, Georgia, and Phillip Randall McKissick of Pee Dee Center, Florence; a brother, Donald (Dorethea) Rowell of Marion; two sisters, Beulah R. Foxworth of Marion and Dorothy McMillian of Mullins; and 2 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Friday, October 10, in Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
