Shirley Margaret (Hitt) Harris, 86, of Wichita Falls passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2018. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 27, 2018, at Evergreen Cemetery in Gustine, Texas, Comanche County. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

The only child of the late Margaret (Booth) and Howard Hitt, Shirley was born on July 7, 1932, in El Paso, Texas. The family lived in Burlingame, California before moving to Wichita Falls, Texas. Shirley graduated from Wichita Falls High School and then attended the University of Texas where she was a proud member of Kappa Alpha Theta. She graduated from the University of Texas and married William Harris. Shirley worked for and retired from the Social Security Administration in Wichita Falls.
Shirley Harris was a longtime member of First Christian Church. She was a lifelong Republican and a dedicated member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. She loved UT, Theta, the WFHS Coyotes, playing bridge, traveling, Scottish terriers, dimes, and Dallas Cowboys football.
She is survived by her two sons William Harris and wife Stephanie of Paris, Texas and James Bruce Harris and wife Kristin of Wichita Falls, Texas. She is also survived by three grandchildren, William Harris, Colin Harris, and Margaret "Maris" Harris.
