Parvin Donald “P.D.” Bond, 89, of Hubbard passed away Thursday, December 20, 2018, in Waco.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 22 at Mount Calm Old Town Cemetery with Rev. Ricky Woodall officiating.

P.D. was born January 22, 1929, in Freestone County, Texas, to Horace and Ladera Melinda (Baty) Bond. He grew up in the Munger community where he attended school until transferring to Hubbard for high school where he was a 1947 graduate.

P.D. married Adlura (Lou) Kimmel on August 22, 1953, and they lived in various locations around the country where his job with Western Electric took them. After moving to Hubbard to stay in 1969, he then worked for General Telephone. P.D. also owned and operated Bond Land & Cattle Company and was very proud of his herd of registered Charolais cattle. He also was very involved in buying and selling land around the area for many years.

P.D. loved fishing and the outdoors and as long as his health allowed, he and Lou traveled extensively across the United States in their travel trailer. He was also a veteran, having served in the Army where he taught classes in communications.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, David Kimmel “Kim” Bond.

Survivors include his wife, Adlura (Lou) Kimmel Bond of Hubbard; two daughters, Donna Peacock and husband, Douglas of Hubbard and Penne Jackson and husband, Mark of Waco; a brother, Joe Bond Of Mexia; six grandchildren, Lyndsey Peacock Crump and husband, Kevin of Hubbard, Matt Peacock and wife, Ashlee of Hubbard, Caitlyn Jackson Book and husband, Kevin of Ballinger, Morgan Jackson of Waco, Raegan Jackson of Waco and Bo Ramos of Waco; six great-grandchildren, Brynn Peacock, Sloane Crump, Penn Crump, Matti Lou Peacock, Bond Peacock and Hunter Peacock and several nieces and nephews and other extended family members and countless friends.

Pallbearers will be Douglas Peacock, Mark Jackson, Matt Peacock, Kevin Crump, Kevin Book, Bo Ramos, Penn Crump and Bond Peacock.
