Mrs. Lorena Faye Hulsopple, 71, Scranton, passed away Aug. 18, 1983, at a Topeka hospital. She was born Aug. 1, 1912, at Scranton, one of 12 children born to Wilson and Cynthia McClure Bickford, and lived in the Scranton community all her life. Mrs. Hulsopple was a telephone operator at Scranton for eight years and later worked at Topeka Supply Depot four years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women at Scranton. She was married to Frank J. Hulsopple Sept. 14, 1927, at Lyndon. He survives. One son, James Hulsopple, passed away Nov. 22, 1973 and one daughter, Mrs. Doris Carlson, passed away April 11, 1983. Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Frankie Dial, Topeka; two sons, Larry Hulsopple, Scranton, and Donald Hulsopple, Bay City, Tex.; 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Services were at 10:30 a.m., Aug. 22, at Scranton United Methodist Church. Burial was in Scranton Cemetery. Greenwood-Roberts Funeral Home, Overbrook, was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Scranton United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
