Alice Louise Dusenbery, daughter of the late James and Frances (Woll) Burke was born March 1, 1924 in Hinton, Iowa, and departed this life on December 19, 2018 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. She had attained the age of ninety-four years, nine months and fourteen days.

Alice had resided in Van Buren for the past seventy years and was formerly of South Dakota. She was of the Catholic Faith, and was an active member of the St, George Catholic Church. She had worked for the Ozark Border in customer Service for many years before retirement. Alice was a very intelligent and beautiful woman who loved people, nature, and tending to birds. She was full of grace and very kind to everyone around her. She could remember dates, people’s birthdays and anniversaries, and was always wishing half the town a “Happy Birthday”. Alice was a very thoughtful amazing woman that was loved by all that knew her.

On March 9, 1945, Alice was united in marriage to Warren Dusenbery in Jefferson, South Dakota; he preceded her in death on April 7, 1977.

She is survived by one son Jim Dusenbery of Van Buren, MO; one daughter Carol Tedrahn and husband David of Hot Springs Village, Ark; one sister, Pat Beermann and husband Howard; three brothers, Marty Burke and wife Mary, Chuck Burke and wife Beverly, and Dan Burke; and many relatives and friends who mourn her passing.

Alice is preceded in death by two sisters, Sr. Joyce Burke, and Kathy Roster; three brothers, Eddie Burke, Raymond Burke and Tom Burke.

A Visitation will be held Saturday, December 22, 2018 from 9:00 a.m.to 11:30 a.m. at the McSpadden Funeral Home with the Funeral Mass beginning at 12:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating: Father Dan Hirtz. Burial will be in the Van Buren City Cemetery.
