Dorothy Frances Burton, 98, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, December 17, 2018 in Catoosa, OK.
She was born on September 17, 1920 to her parents, Clarence Wesley Hughes and Mabel Frances Drinkwater-Hughes.
Dorothy loved traveling, reading, horseback riding, quilting and most of all spending time with her children and their families. She was a member of New Life Assembly of God, Collinsville, OK.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her Parents, Clarence and Mabel Hughes; her husband, John W. (Bill) Burton; daughter, Frances Alton; son, Wayne Burton; infant son, Gary Burton; granddaughter, Jill Alton; son-in-law, Wayne Williams; 5 brothers, C.W., Fred, Roy, Dow and Ray Hughes; 3 sisters, Bertha Beck, Helen Stelle and Veda Morrison.
Dorothy’s family visitation to greet friends will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 5:00-7:00pm, Lawson’s Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 311 W. Gray St., Jay, OK 74346.
