Helen Mildred Daft was born on March 12, 1920 in Stiles, Wisconsin, to parents Gottfried Daft and Pauline (Kading) Daft. Helen was a teacher for 42 years, starting in Oconto County and retiring from Fratt Elementary School in Racine, Wisconsin. She was a member of Racine Bible Church. Helen died on August 19, 2012 at Harmony Living Center in Mount Pleasant. Her funeral was held on August 28, 2012, at Racine Bible Church.
Helen was survived by her sister-in-law June (Gauslin) Daft, many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother and sister-in-law, Frederick and Elizabeth (Barlow) Daft; brother, Henry Daft; sister and brother-in-law, Martha (Daft) and Adolph Primuth; sister, Mary Daft; half-brother Rudolf Fetter; and half-sister, Emma Grams.
