Catherine June "Cathy" Daft was born on April 8, 1951, in Racine, Wisconsin, to parents Henry and June (Gauslin) Daft. Cathy was a first grade teacher and librarian for 28 years at North Cape Elementary School in North Cape, Wisconsin. Cathy died after a long battle with cancer on June 3, 2001, at her parents' home in Caledonia, Wisconsin. Her funeral was held on June 6, 2001 at the Hanson Funeral Home in Racine.
Cathy was survived by her parents, two brothers and sisters-in-law, one sister and brother-in-law, three nephews, and many other relatives.
