Ethel Viola Anderson Falk was born June 15, 1900, on a farm in Big
Bend Township, the daughter of Swedish emigrants Andrew and Edla Marie
Monson Anderson, and died March 17, 1989, at the age of 88 years, nine months
and two days, at Mitchell County Hospital in Beloit.
February 27, 1920, she was married to William Dean Engstrom and to this union
two sons, Garold Dean and Kenneth Duayne were born. They divorced.
August 21, 1935, she was united in marriage to Lloyd Martin Falk and they
resided on a farm near the Salt Marsh in Republic County. They had four children:
Lloyd LeeRay, Karen Adrieime, Leon Kay and Sandra Jean.
They moved to a farm near Montrose in 1950. Her husband, Lloyd died in August
of 1967, and she moved into Jewell with her son, Lee Ray.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lloyd; infant
daughter, Karen; sons, Duayne and Garold; brothers, Richard, Albert, Victor,
Arthur, Carl and Ernest; sisters, Ellen, Emma, Edith, Esther Christine and
Mildred.
She is survived by her sons, Lee Ray of the home; Leon of rural Burlingame; her
daughter, Mrs. Dennis (Sandra) Hanson of Salina; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
Internment was in Ada Lutheran Church Cemetery, Courtland.
