Mrs. Thompson was born the daughter of the late Loma (White) and Roy Jackson.
Mrs. Thompson was a homemaker and a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She had lived in the Lufkin area all her life. Mrs. Thompson attended church services at Greater Love Tabernacle in Home, and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Nancy Lout, Bobby and Laura Thompson, and Johnny Thompson; numerous grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert “Bob” Thompson; children, Mary Alice Hopkins and Kenneth Earl Lout; brothers, Harvey Jackson, Johnny Jackson, Burtis Jackson, and Paul Jackson; and sister, Lettie Burden-Fisher.
