Earl was a retired fork lift operator with H.J. Heinz in Mechanicsburg. He also worked for 38 years at the former Silver Springs Speedway. Earl served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Korean war. He was a life member of the V.F.W., American Legion, D.A.V., Cumberland County Fire Police, Monaghan Township Fire Co., and the Fleet Reserve. Earl was also a member of the Hershey and Gettysburg AACA.
