1949 - 2018

It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Terry Anderson.

Terry was born in Mount Vernon, Washington on July 11, 1949, daughter of Bernie and Wanda Penley. Terry was raised in the Lyman Hamilton area and attended Sedro-Woolley School. Terry married her first husband Bill Watts in 1966 and together they raised 4 children together. Terry later married Floyd Anderson.

Throughout the years Terry worked as a cook at various Drive-Ins. She was an amazing cook and baker who always held family gatherings at her home for the holidays and other family events. If we had to use one word to describe her, it would be selfless. She has always put everyone's needs and feelings ahead of her own. When Terry wasn't visiting her kids and grandkids on the weekends or delivering pies to them, she was enjoying spending time and traveling with her husband Floyd.

Terry is survived by her husband Floyd Anderson of Concrete, former husband Bill Watts, her children and their spouses, Tony and Tara Watts of Sumas, Billy and Sue Watts of Concrete, Kelly and partner Mike of Concrete, Kim and Mike Fox of Concrete, brothers and their spouses Chuck and Barbara Penley of California, Bud and Teresa Penley of Arizona and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and special pets Skittles and Mikel.

Terry was preceded in death by her parents Bernie and Wanda Penley and an infant sister.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 17, 2018 at 12:00pm at Hawthorne Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Bow Hill Cemetery at 1:00pm with a celebration of life held in January.

Arrangements are under the care of Hawthorne Funeral Home, Mount Vernon, WA.
