Daughter of John and Barbara Burrells McFall. Sarah, her siblings and parents were captured by the Indians at their home in Harrison County, Kentucky and held captive for several years. Sarah was only 7 or 8 years old at this time. Upon all being released from their bondage they returned to their home in Kentucky. She married William Lumley in Bourbon County, Kentucky. Sarah and William migrated to Washington County, Indiana.
