SERVICES TO BE HELD FOR BARTHOLOMEW. Funeral services for Rev. William M Bartholomew, Presbyterian minster and widely known In Atlanta, who died at the age of 77 Tuesday afternoon at the home of his son Dr. R A. Bartholomew, 69 Penn Avenue after several weeks' illness will be conducted Thursday afternoon at the home of Rev. S. E. Wasson. Interment will follow In North View cemetery. Besides his son, he Is survived his five daughters. Mrs. Calvin H. East of Cincinnati. Mrs. Joseph C. Dimbeck of Garv, Maryland, Mimes Eda and Marguerite Bartholomew of Atlanta and Miss Martha Bartholomew of Detroit. And three sisters, Mrs. Albert Listenberger of South Hen & Mrs. Flnette Simons of Three Rivers, Michigan and Mrs. Martha Mott of St. Louis. Rev. Bartholomew, who came to Atlanta from Indiana, had for some time been retired from active service In the ministry. Although he had been living here for less than two years lie had gained a wide circle of friends throughout the city. His son Dr. Bartholomew is a well- known Atlanta physician.

Rev. Bartholomew was graduated from the College of New Jersey in 1870, and then attended North Western Theological Seminary in 1870-1871. Then he attended Union Theological Seminary 1871-1873. And then he attended the University of Leipzig in Germany 1873-1875. He was ordained to Presbyterian ministry by the Presbytery of Chicago on April 29, 1878. He served as pastor of the Presbyterian congregation in Arlington Heights, IL 1875-1883, and in Des Moines, IA 1883-1894. He retired in 1895 to Valparaiso, Indiana.
