Born July 14, 1934 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Homer Porter and Leota(Wellington)Porter. She married Ray Ottinger on June 11, 1955 and he preceded her on January 16, 2013.
Survivors include 4 children; Timothy Ray(Libby)Ottinger of Round Lake Beach, Illinois, Daniel Lee Ottinger of Shelbyville, daughters, Rebecca Lynn(Robert L. Jr.)Coleman of Indianapolis, Margaret Jo-Anne Collingwood of New Whiteland; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, and eight brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Ottinger had lived in this area since 1957, after moving from southern Indiana. She was a homemaker, and attended Oolitic High School.
Betty was an amazing cook, and her family meant everthing to her. She was well liked by all and made many friends at Rosegate, where she enjoyed attending church services with them.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with Tim Ottinger officiating.
Visitation will be Wednesday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Burial will be in Van Pelt Cemetery.
