Astry on April 5, 1940 in Harrisonville, Missouri. She was employed by Allstate Insurance Company, as a lead property rater, for several years. For the last six years, she lived in Mission, Texas, with her son and daughter-in-law. She was preceded in death by her husband of seventy-two years; daughter, Carole Wyman; son, Michael Astry; and sister, Jane Stark. She is survived by her son, daughter, eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, brother, and sister.
