Husband of Frances "Frankie" Hoggard, and assumed to be buried in this cemetery. Thomas and Frankie Stofle had 12 children, some dying at a young age. Their children's names are the following: Robert Maxwell Stofle, Sr., Exoney Wallace, William Stofle, Sallie Denning, James David Stofle, Ellen Stofle, Mollie Russell, Tommie Lou Vaughn, Emily Jackie Perry, Alma Hagler, Jossie Dinning, and Zula Dinning. Thomas and Frankie lived on the old Hoggard plantation between McKenzie and Gleason, TN which is now situated on the "New 22 Highway." The family cemetery is located on "Million Dollar Hill." Thomas Stofle's wife Frankie was the daughter of Byas Hoggard and Sallie Gilbert, making her the granddaughter of Revolutionary War veteran Benjamin Gilbert, Jr. (1755-1832) and his wife Emily McKenzie. The town of McKenzie is named after Emily Gilbert's nephew, James Monroe McKenzie.
