Jean married Nelson Ashwill on December 5th, 1940. They were married for 70 years by the time she passed away in 2010. Jean and Nels completed one another - she would take care of the home, kids, and the meals and he would take care of bringing money in. She stopped driving after they were married and he drove her everywhere. It was very sweet. 2 peas in a pod and they were both truly wonderful people.

There is supposed to be a marker for Jean and Nels at Swan Lake but I have never found it.
