Mother of movie actor Frank Faylen, Mary made her stage debut on her 14th birthday in St. Louis and later starred in Rice's Extravaganzas" of 1900, 1901 and 1902. In 1900 Mary married the featured comic of the shows, O.C. Ruf and they toured vaudeville as Ruf & Cusick. They also did a three-act with their son Frank from 1927 to 1929. Mary retired in 1929 and O.C. passed away in 1930.
