NAMPA — Services for Roy Howard, 75, 523 Diamond Street, a veteran of railroad service who died in a Nampa hospital Tuesday, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Shepherd Chapel. The Rev. Frank Maulden, Boise, will officiate. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Howard was born March 13, 1890 at Fort Collins, Colo., moving to Idaho as a young boy with his parents. He attended schools in Mountain Home and Meridian. He was married to Eleanor Turner at Boise Oct. 24, 1915. After two years residence in Atlanta, Idaho, he made his home in the Boise-Nampa Nampa area and worked for Union Pacific Railroad. Mr., Howard retired in 1960, after 42 years of service, to his home in Nampa. He was a member of the Union Pacific Old Timers Club.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanor, of Nampa; three sons, Robert A. Howard, Texarkana, Tex., Roy T. Howard, Honolulu, and Wallace E. Howard, Summit, N. J., Two brothers, Otis and Lester Howard, both Boise; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A daughter preceded him in death.
