Frank W. Carl, 93, a resident of Arlington Heights for 30 years, died Tuesday morning in Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights. A retired trainman from the Chicago and North Western Ry., with 47 years of service, he was born May 29, 1882, in West Chicago.

Visitation is today from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. in Lauterburg and Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Hwy., Arlington Heights.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Officiating will be the Rev. Charles S. Jarvis of First United Methodist Church, Arlington Heights. Burial will be in Randhill Park Cemetery, Palatine.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara, nee Diebold; a daughter, Mildred Veale, and a son, Glenn Carl. Surviving are two daughters, Marian C. (George) Poole of Arlington Heights and Virginia (John) Sayad of Prospect Heights; two sons, John I. (Thelma) and Herbert W. (Julia) Carl, both of Arlington Heights; three grandchildren, Georgene (Richard) Eddy of California, Gary and Linda Carl, both of Arlington Heights, and Charles Carl of West Chicago.

Family requests contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 1903 E. Euclid Ave., Arlington Heights.
