HOBBS, MAMIE ELLEN - age 79, of Sevierville, died Monday, May 31, 1999. She was preceded in death by her mother, Myrtle Cook and brother, Bill Cook. She was an Army Veteran of World War II. She is survived by: husband, Calvin R. Hobbs; uncle, Clyde Abbott, Sr. and numerous cousins. Funeral service 1:00 p.m. Friday at Headrick's Chapel Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Clyde Abbott, Jr. officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Abbott Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
